The Nash's Get Hug-able....
I recently started sewing thanks to the extreme generousity of my boy's mom. His parents made a trip to Austin a few months back and his mom and I spoke of how I have always wanted to learn to sew but how intimidating the process seemed to me. I have been in possesion of an older machine for years but wasn't sure if it was safe to turn on let alone how to thread the needle. This kind soul is an avid quilter and I reaped the benefits of her creations in my poorly insulated studio apartment this past winter. After a sight seeing/errand running/shopping outting in Austin they surprised me with my first right out of the box, fully functional sewing machine. She gave me a quick, fast track "how to" and the rest is history. I needed another obsession like a hole in the head. My over flowing collection of hobby books have a new category now. My weekly trips to the library and bookstore have a new aisle added to the hours I spend browsing and flipping pages.
I am still learning the basics of the machine and relentlessly organizing and rearranging my small craft/sewing area. I have cranked out a few Nash Hug-able prototypes and Julsie even got his own Nash replica of himself.
SEW MUCH FUN!
